PAT uses third-party payment processing services to process card payments.

Card information entered into a secure payment interface is transmitted to and processed by the relevant payment service provider.

  • account authentication and access controls;
  • software and security updates;
  • security monitoring and logging;
  • limiting access to information according to operational need; and
  • avoiding the intentional storage of complete card numbers and card security codes within PAT systems.

No website, network or electronic storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure. PAT therefore cannot guarantee absolute security but takes reasonable steps appropriate to the nature of the information and services involved.

The location in which information is processed may depend on the systems and service providers used by PAT from time to time.

Where PAT uses third-party services, those providers may handle information according to their own privacy policies and applicable legal obligations.

15. How Long We Retain Information

PAT retains personal information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected and for legitimate business, educational, security and legal requirements.

Different types of information may therefore be retained for different periods.

For example, PAT may retain:

  • financial and transaction records where required for accounting or taxation purposes;
  • student training and examination history where necessary to operate student accounts or maintain educational records;
  • security and system records for reasonable security and troubleshooting purposes; and
